GEOFF STEURER. He was by FAR my favorite.

    -Boundary-setting (spouses)
-What does an addict in recovery look like? A spouse in recovery?
-Where/how should a spouse start her recovery?

I think this conference we just had was too focused on coming at the issues of intimacy from a recovery point of view. This statement I make may sound strange but I think that the title of this organization, including “healthy intimacy” in it, ought to focus more on the healthy than on the unhealthy. If I had friends attend who had not had problems with sex addiction in their marriage and attended because of the “healthy intimacy” idea from the organization’s title, they may have been disappointed to have so much of the negative presented. This is a reason that I think Melody’s presentation was the best, with “Teaching Your Children Healthy Sexuality” by Jacci Jones a close second. They focused mostly on the positive–what we can actually do to help our families.

This really hits home! Thank you for being open enough to heal and to help support your wife in her healing. This is a message that needs to get out!
